Requesting & Processing Information

The records division handles a variety of functions, including accepting applications and issuing licenses and permits for concealed weapons, dances, secondhand dealers, and special events. Records of all calls for service, all investigations, booking logs and other contacts and transactions are maintained in this division.

All requests for reports and information are processed through the records division, and records staff conducts applicant fingerprinting for a variety of public and private positions throughout the county.

The records division is open from 8:00 A.M. until 4:00 P.M. Monday through Friday, and is located at 22840 Antelope Boulevard in Red Bluff. Records staff may be reached by telephone at 530-529-7940, or by fax at 530-529-7933.

Lt. Andy Houghtby

Lt. Andy Houghtby began his law enforcement career in 1997 with the Tehama County Sheriff’s Office. Currently he manages the Records, Civil, Office of Emergency Services, Fiscal and Volunteer Support (S.T.A.R.S., Search and Rescue, C.E.R.T.) divisions of the Sheriff’s Office.
