Captain Danny
Rabalais heads the Jail Division.
Captain Rabalais began his law enforcement career in 1983, and came to Tehama County in 1992 after serving nine years with the
Orange Police Department in Southern California.
In his current
assignment, Captain Rabalais is charged with administering the jail division,
transportation division, medical services division, and food services division.
Captain
Rabalais is currently a board member for the Tehama County Police
Activities League (PAL) and a member of Red Bluff Kiwanis.
In his
off-duty time, he enjoys photography. Together, he and his wife,
Dianne, have three children.
Lieutenant
Yvette Borden
began her law enforcement career in 1990.
She graduated from high school in Willows in 1984, obtained her Associate's
Degree from Butte College in 1986, and graduated from the Butte Police Academy
in 1989. After a short stint as a Correctional Officer with the Glenn County
Sheriff's Office, she came to Tehama County. Serving as a Deputy Sheriff in the
jail and on patrol, she promoted to Detective in 1993. Working mainly child
abuse and sex-related crimes, she was the first-ever female Detective in Tehama
County.
In 2000, Yvette promoted to Sergeant, once again becoming the department's first
female to attain this rank. In her 8 years as a Sergeant, she held several
assignments in the jail and on patrol. In June of 2007, she once again
distinguished herself by becoming the department's first female Lieutenant.
Assigned to the custody division, she serves as second-in-command of the jail.
Lieutenant Borden lives in Red Bluff
with
her husband Dirk, and son. In her off-duty time, she volunteers at St. Elizabeth's Hospital.
Lieutenant Borden is an avid reader, enjoys bowling, golfing and football.
She is also very active with her church.

Tehama County Jail
The Tehama County Jail is located at 502 Oak Street (corner of Oak &
Madison) in Red Bluff, California. It was built in 1974 with additions completed
in 1994. The Main Jail has a capacity for 227 inmates and houses sentenced and
pre-sentenced inmates.
The Main
Jail is managed by Captain Rabalais. Supervisors include a Lieutenant, four (4)
Sergeants, a Cook Supervisor, and a Medical Supervisor. Other workers in the
jail include Deputies, Correctional Officers, Sheriff Service Officers, Clerks,
Cooks, and Nurses, Reserve Officers and S.T.A.R.S. Volunteers also add to the
work force of the jail.
The Jail Division is the largest Division
of the Tehama County Sheriff’s
Office and comprises about half of the Sheriff Office’s personnel and budget.
The Jail has the capacity to house 227 inmates.
The Jail Division
includes the Main Jail, Transportation Unit, Medical Unit, and Food Services.
